Electronic shaft angle encoder that measures the angular position of rotating shaft in about one microsecond. This device, manufactured by Real Time Systems, Inc. picks up an electrical pulse generated by the rotating machinery. Computer processes information and presents a coded reading on a display window. Encoder has commercial application in monitoring performance of industrial turbines as an aid to preventive maintenance or problem diagnosis.
