NASA developed space shuttle technology is used in a laser wire stripper designed by Raytheon Company. Laser beam cuts through insulation on a wire without damaging conductive metal, because laser radiation that melts plastic insulation is reflected by the metal. Laser process is fast, clean, precise and repeatable. It eliminates quality control problems and the expense of rejected wiring.
