MicroRim, Inc.'s Microrim is a deviation of a database developed under NASA funding and used by NASA to store data required for analyzing the heat shield tiles on the Space Shuttle Orbiter. As a management system for microcomputers, it offers mainframe sophistication and allows for sorting, storing and data retrieval for various applications. The program is convertible, and easily utilized by nontechnical personnel. RIM is currently used for structural analysis and design data management, etc. by a variety of businesses and universities.
