Protective Products commercialized helmets used by Little League football players. These helmets offer a new level of protection because they have three times the shock absorbing capacity of earlier types. Key to shock reduction is an interior padding of Temper Foam, first used in aircraft seats. Little league and professional players such as the Dallas Cowboys wear these helmets. Temper foam is also used for other protective sports equipment such as baseball chest protectors and soccer shin guards.
