Ride quality on highways and railways improved by Marshall Space Flight Center's stabilized spacecraft guidance and control systems. Instruments for profiling roadways are enhanced by addition of stable three-axis platform-type inertial reference. System can measure banks, bumps, curves, grades, elevations, speeds, and roadway undulations. Appropriate computer programs can be written to answer future questions concerning roadbed.
